GALXBOY has entered the conversation with the GXB Collection — a debut range of timepieces that represents both the brand’s most ambitious product to date and a bold statement about African luxury at a global level.
“We wanted to make a watch that could hold its own in Geneva or Tokyo,” says GALXBOY founder Wanda Lephoto. “Something that was unambiguously world-class, but rooted in who we are and where we come from.”
The dials are the watches’ most distinctive feature: hand-enamelled by a Johannesburg craftsman using a technique adapted from traditional South African beadwork patterns.
The first production run of 500 pieces sold out within 72 hours. A waiting list for the second run is already substantial.
