Get ready to embark on a gastronomic adventure like no other as the 10th Annual DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, powered by LottoStar, gears up to tantalize your taste buds and set the dance floor ablaze on the weekend of 23 and 24 September 2023.

This year promises an even more tantalizing experience with an expanded lineup of food vendors, shorter queues, an abundance of food trucks, and a kaleidoscope of bold flavors from around the globe. It’s all set to take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, and you won’t want to miss it.

The Channel O Drip Stage will be the epicenter of musical ecstasy for the weekend. With a strong focus on female talent, an array of local DJs and performers will be bringing the heat with infectious amapiano, hip-hop, and house beats.

On Saturday, 23 September, an electrifying line-up featuring Scorpion Kings, Myztro, Daliwonga, Stunna, Yahoo, Dbn Gogo, DJ Mdu, and LeeArt will keep you grooving from afternoon till night. But don’t think the fun ends there! Monday is a public holiday, so you have every reason to dance the night away.

Sunday, 24 September, will see Venom, Nobantu, Kelvin Momo, Toss, DJ Zinhle, Murumba Pitch, Tyler ICU, and Kwesta taking over the stage, ensuring the party never stops.

While the music promises to be scorching, the star of the show remains the delectable food offerings on the Proudly South African Delicious Mile. For the festival’s 10th anniversary, you can expect an around-the-world taste adventure that will leave your taste buds in awe.

Leading the local culinary charge is The Gourmet Shrine, winner of the 2022 Soweto Kota Festival. Self-taught cook Vusi Mkhabela will be dishing up mouthwatering gourmet kotas packed with fresh, wholesome ingredients fit for royalty.

If you’re craving something different, Sumting Fresh will once again be serving up their legendary fried chicken, while Poppy’s peri-peri chicken brings the heat for those seeking a spicy alternative.

“We have a cosmopolitan feast of flavors lined up, but since it’s the Heritage Day weekend, we are keeping the essence of our food offering quintessentially and deliciously South African,” says Funeka Pepetta, Media Director of the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival.

Prepare to take your taste buds on a journey to South America with chimichanga, assado, and chimichurri sauce, promising a burst of flavors you won’t forget.

In addition to Korean, Japanese, Asian, and Argentinian cuisines, you can expect a parade of festival favorites from previous years. From Wing Republic and Kota King to Dunky Donuts and Mexican street-food tacos from Mocharitos, the options are endless.

Food trucks, including LuviesFood with its Asian-inspired dishes like bao buns, will be on hand, alongside vendors serving freshly made pizzas, biltong, and even dombolo burgers, courtesy of Why Cook. And what’s Heritage Weekend without shisanyama and braaivleis? Enjoy the springtime weather and savor juicy sosaties and sizzling steaks.

For those looking for vegan and pescetarian delights, Exotically Divine (featuring fusion vegan African cuisine), The Prawnery, and The Trout Palace have got you covered. The expanded seafood offering is set to become a firm favorite among festivalgoers.

Sip, Savor, and Celebrate

Wash it all down with your beverage of choice, including the divine Yamama Gemmer homemade non-alcoholic ginger beer and the latest summertime favorite – bubble tea (or boba), a trend that’s on everyone’s lips. Find these delights and more at the Proudly South African Village, where local #BuyLocal advocates will be hosting traders selling their irresistible homegrown delicacies.

Moreover, 50 young informal traders will be getting their first hands-on experience at a large food festival as part of the newly launched Delicious Festival Trader Academy powered by FoodBev Seta. This program aims to equip them with the knowledge needed to successfully operate their businesses in more formal and competitive environments.

This Heritage Day weekend, immerse yourself in a fusion of local flavors and global cuisine, perfectly complemented by a top-flight music line-up. Come and savor the essence of South Africa with our incredible food, music, fashion, and people.

On the main stage, be prepared to be entertained by the likes of Maxwell, Tems, Robert Glasper, Joyous Celebration, Arrested Development, Zakes Bantwini, Shalamar, Incognito, Oskido, Ringo Madlingozi, Oscar Mbo, Mörda, Karyendasoul, DJ Kent, Christos, and Lamiez Holworthy.
