A full day of music, food, art, nature and nostalgia in the Cradle of Humankind on the 12th of October 2019 as Retrofest deliver what will be its sixth edition in celebration and support of music in various decades.

In line with this Nirox’s Sculpture Park will revisit the ever-popular Retrofest concert by giving a platform to well established acoustic musicians like Tubatsi Moloi, Laurie Levine, Luma, Aya Nixon, Chantel Van T, Red Robyn, The Rocketeers, Dayne Rothbletz, David Van Vuuren and Tebogo Sedumedi to its amphitheater.

These musicians will play in homage to the impact music in the retro era has had, and the ability of songs to change the course of history through a full day of classic songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. With this they promise to take the audience on an acoustic journey with their unique interpretations of songs as they perform songs that resonate with them and music lovers across the world.

And whatmore, Sumptuous cuisine courtesy of the Epicurean Emporium, a changing selection of food traders from the food & design markets in and around Johannesburg and the Cradle of Human Kind will be available. Also Bernie’s Bar will be in full flow to ensure we’re all well-hydrated.

Doors will open at 10h00 and the music begins at 11h00, concluding at sunset.
