The rightful heir to the township celebration throne is back to claim its rightful place – next week Saturday, the 30th of November 2019 Soweto will come to a standstill as Smirnoff brings the kasi alive with a free music concert bringing the finest artists of our time, those responsible for the culture shift and the pioneers behind some of the hottest gems like Thebe, and award-winning rapper KO leading the celebrations. Kick off the festive season fun times with Smirnoff at the Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto.

The music exravaganza will include in the line-up the new wave of rappers, singers, DJs and lyricists Nadia Nakai, Killer Kau, PH, DNB Gogo, Major League, Boity and a whole lot more. It’s gonna be faya!!

Smirnoff has always undoubtedly been part of some of the most important occasions in different townships. Tabane explained that Kasi Triumph is about owning and claiming your hood by saying ‘this is where I belong and I’m going nowhere’. Kasi Love is all about wearing your heart on your sleeve, sometimes literally. It’s about being made eKasi in every sense of the word; while Kasi Optimism is basically saying no matter where you go in the world, home will always be eKasi.
