T Musicman regrets  to announce that Bra Hugh Masekela will be unable to perform at this year’s 20th edition of the Standard Bank Joy Of Jazz Festival, scheduled for Saturday, 30 September.   Following an emergency medical procedure on his left eye, which took place on Friday, 15 September , the doctors have ordered an extended rest period and a calm environment for post-treatment healing. This includes no performances, public engagements or extensive travel until the end of October.

Peter Tladi, CEO of T. Musicman said, “We are obviously disappointed that Bra Hugh is unable to be part of this year’s line-up, but of course his health takes priority. Bra Hugh’s old friend Roy Ayers will perform in his place, and we all wish him a strong and speedy recovery”.

Tickets are on sale at Computicket at R795 for a Day Pass and R1 350 for a two-day pass.
