Did You Know? You could feature in rapper Emtee’s latest music video!

Chappies, the biggest bubblegum in SA, has joined forces with award-winning local rapper Emtee to create the Chappies Collab – an incredible opportunity for 60 lucky fans to live the dream by being part of Emtee’s new music video.

Chappies South Africa created the Chappies Collab as a fun way to interact with a new generation of Chappies consumers. “Chappies gum was born and bred in South Africa and many generations have grown up reading the famous wrappers printed with ‘Did You Know’ facts,” says Manyathe Ramotsepe, Junior Brand Manager: Chewing Gum South Africa. “Chappies is the coolest bubblegum brand on the market, so creating the Chappies Collab with Emtee is a perfect fit,” she says. With around 7 million Chappies chewed per day, it is one of the most recognisable brands in the country.

To enter, aspiring music video stars simply need to buy their favourite Chappies flavour, dial *120*24372# and enter their full name, age and a current Did You Know. Another way to get in on the #ChappiesCollab action is to tune in to the Krunch Time and The Best Drive on YFM every Friday. In the true spirit of Chappies, listeners have to call in and read their favourite ‘Did You Know’ fact on their Chappies wrapper in a unique and creative way – whether it’s rapping, singing or adding sound effects, the options are endless! Two contestants will go head to head each week and the YFM team will select the winner, who will be able to invite two friends to join them at the music video.

The Chappies Collab competition will run from July to September. In addition to the YFM winners, the remaining winners will be selected in August and September from the USSD entries. The winners can look forward to being treated to a VIP on-set experience and a meet-and-greet with Emtee.
