Kaya FM Presents Live @ The Bassline has fast solidified itself as the premiere music event in the Jo’burg music scene, having presented a host of successful shows with the crème-de-la-crème of music royalty in South Africa.

Following the incredibly well-attended Ray Phiri-The Man, The Music and Friendships show, comes one of South Africa’s most prolific artists Judith Sephuma, who will headline the next instalment of Kaya FM Presents Live @ The Bassline on 1 October 2016.

Judith first burst onto the scene with her critically acclaimed, multiple-award winning debut album titled; A Cry, A Smile, A Dance released in 2001 and has continued to wow jazz audiences across South Africa and the world. Judith Sephuma is a highly versatile, vocally talented artist, having collaborated on songs with various equally highly successful music icons across various music genres, including Michael Bolton, Kenny G and Oliver Mtukudzi to name a few.

With six jazz albums under her belt, music fans will be in for rare evening of jazz musical brilliance from this award winning artist.  True to her artistry, when asked about what her fans can expect she said “It’s so exciting to be part of this music series that gives music lovers and artists the opportunity to interact in an intimate venue such as Bassline. I’ll be bringing nothing but soothing sounds that will speak to the soul.”

Joining Judith will be Durban born afro-jazz singer Brenda Mtambo, who is also no stranger to performing to thousands of adoring fans. Having started her career with Joyous Celebration, she has become a fully seasoned afro-jazz artist with an impressive catalogue of music.

Judith Sephuma and Brenda Mtambo will proudly carry the Afropolitan music torch forward on the 1 October 2016 with phenomenal performances lined-up!
