Código 1530’s Quiet Arrival in South Africa

Some luxury spirits don’t arrive loudly; they arrive assured. This December, Código 1530, Mexico’s ultra-premium tequila, makes its South African debut, offering a refined alternative for year-end celebrations and summer entertaining.

Crafted in Jalisco, the birthplace of tequila, Código 1530 is rooted in more than a century of private family tradition. Long shared discreetly before entering commercial production in 2016, the brand remains committed to an uncompromising philosophy: Nothing added. Nothing taken away. Made from fully mature blue Weber agave and distilled without additives, it’s a tequila defined by purity and precision.

The local launch introduces four expressions, each suited to a different festive moment. Blanco is clean and expressive, Rosa subtly floral with its signature pink hue from French oak Cabernet barrels, Reposado warm and rounded with notes of vanilla and toasted oak, and Añejo deep, complex, and designed for slow sipping after dark.

Internationally acclaimed and quietly collected by those in the know, Código 1530 feels perfectly timed for the season. Undoubtedly a tequila that belongs at long lunches, intimate dinners, and well-considered gatherings. As summer unfolds and travel plans take shape, it offers a taste of Mexico’s heritage with a distinctly global sensibility.

Código 1530 is now available at select fine-spirit stockists nationwide.
