The Linden Market is a beloved fixture in Johannesburg’s artisan scene. It is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend. A special Spring Edition will be held at the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens on Saturday, 27 and Sunday, 28 September 2025.
The event will feature over 150 local vendors. They will showcase a wide range of handmade products. These include fashion, décor, art, jewellery, and skincare. Over the past decade, the market has grown into a vital platform for creatives and entrepreneurs. It fosters community connections and supports local business.
Visitors can expect a lively atmosphere with live music performances. There is a variety of food trucks and craft beverages. A curated Preloved Thrifters Paradise allows attendees to shop for secondhand treasures. They can enjoy vinyl classics played by DJ Michael Lesar.
The Linden Market is celebrating their 10-year anniversary. They have partnered with a local high school. Together, they will debut the market’s first-ever anthem, “We Build Together (Siyakhe Sonke).” Idols finalist Suzzi Swanepoel will perform the song live at the market. Folk singer Lungleo Moyo and the Greenside High Choir will also participate. The anthem reflects the collaborative spirit that has defined the market’s journey.
The event is family and pet-friendly. It features a Doggy Fashion Show and themed photo zones. These are in collaboration with Oneplan Dognation. There are also opportunities to meet rescue dogs from Community Led Animal Welfare (CLAW).
The market runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day. Tickets are priced at R60 per person, with free entry for children under 12. Secure parking will be available at Roosevelt High School for R30 per vehicle.
