Oskido’s Big Day Out Set to Celebrate South African House Music Legacy with Star-Studded Lineup

The countdown is on for one of this year’s most anticipated music events. Oskido’s Big Day Out returns, promising a celebration of sound. It celebrates heritage and community like no other. Oskido curated the 2025 festival. He is a pioneering figure in South African house music. This festival pays homage to the soulful era of Church Grooves. It injects fresh house beats and nostalgic kwaito sounds.

Headliners include DJ Fresh, known as “The Big Dawg.” He will bring his powerhouse house anthems and signature energy back to the stage. TKZee, the legendary kwaito group, reunites founding members Zwai and Kabelo for a set filled with classic, high-energy hits. DJ Cleo is a maestro of production and dancefloor vibes. He will deliver a special tribute set. This set honours the late Mandoza and Brown Dash. This promises a moving and memorable performance.

Big Day Out 2025 aims to encapsulate the spirit of Oskido’s Church Grooves era. This was a time when music was deeply soulful and full of life.
