After a three-month search for South Africa’s best up-and-coming DJ, the contest is finally over. AXE, the world’s number one male fragrance brand, alongside award-winning DJ Black Coffee selected an AXE IBIZA winner at a star-studded event at Taboo in Sandton last night.<\/p>\n

The 5 AXE IBIZA finalists, Siyabonga Ziqubu, Kutloano Nhlapo, Xoliswa Nene, Tumisang Mabea and Sibulele Yali went head-to-head in a battle to claim the grand prize. The grand prize includes a VIP experience and a chance to play a set with Black Coffee in Ibiza, the party capital of the world. Each finalist played a 20-minute set to show their magic and impress DJ Black Coffee. Kutloano Nhlapo emerged as the final winner, securing his spot to Ibiza.<\/p>\n

Kutloano, a DJ from Johannesburg will join 3 other winning DJ’s from Ethiopia, Nigeria and Zambia in showcasing their DJ skills in Ibiza.<\/p>\n

“AXE believes that every guy has a special magic; something unique that makes them who they are. In partnering with Black Coffee, this campaign was about finding someone who has found their magic, and giving them the chance to show their talent on a global stage. We’re looking forward to taking more of Africa\u2019s amazing music to the world,” said Ryan Fauconier, AXE Brand Manager.<\/p>\n

DJ Black Coffee and other well- known South African DJ\u2019s like Euphonik, Benny Maverick, pH kept guests entertained until the sun came up in true Ibiza style.<\/p>\n

In addition to selecting a winning DJ, AXE is also taking one super fan, and partner to the party capital of the world.
