The event featured a compelling panel discussion moderated by Teddy Geldart. It spotlighted three trailblazers in African storytelling. Veteran actress Sindi Dlathu is renowned for her decades-long impact on South African television and award-winning performances. Linda Mtoba, a cultural influencer, is celebrated for her dynamic roles and narrative-shaping presence. Ifeoma Agu is a creative leader advancing authentic African stories across platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panel drew parallels between their devotion to storytelling and Don Julio’s Por Amor<\/em> ethos of craft, passion, and purpose. Ifeoma Agu emphasised: “As we celebrate the icons of the screen, let us use this platform as a white canvas. We can tell African stories that will reach global stages.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A highlight was the Honorary Artistic Award presented by Don Julio to Sindi Dlathu, accompanied by a R100,000 honorarium. This recognition honours individuals embodying unwavering dedication to their craft, much like the brand’s commitment to excellence and legacy. Dlathu’s enduring contributions to film and television made her an ideal recipient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
