From October 3 to October 6, attendees will have the unique opportunity to purchase limited-edition apparel that embodies both the festival&#8217;s spirit and the essence of South African style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This collaboration promises bold, eye-catching pieces that seamlessly blend music and artistry, allowing festivalgoers to make a statement while supporting local talent. The exclusive merchandise is designed to serve as a memorable keepsake from the unforgettable Rocking the Daisies experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the merchandise launch, GALXBOY and Rocking the Daisies have initiated the 2024 Festival Talent Search competition, spotlighting some of South Africa&#8217;s most promising emerging designers. Participants were invited to submit five original looks, which were evaluated by a panel of industry experts. The competition has now narrowed down to the Top 5 designers who will present their collections during the Rocking the Daisies Fashion Showcase at the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/braamvibes.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/9b6a2dd0-6534-026a-4b74-82dde30c3fbb-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3691\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each collection will align with this year&#8217;s festival theme: <strong>&#8220;Into the Stars.&#8221;<\/strong> The winner of the competition will be announced following the fashion showcase and will receive a cash prize of R20,000. More significantly, they will have the chance to collaborate on the Rocking the Daisies 2025 capsule collection and undertake a one-week internship with GALXBOY&#8217;s Founder and Creative Director, Thatiso Dube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Top 5 Designers competing for this prestigious award include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Zeshaan Samodien<\/strong> &#8211; @zeshaanhaku<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kgopotso Malefo<\/strong> &#8211; @kgopotsobabe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Itumeleng Pheto<\/strong> &#8211; @itu.pneto<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tadiwanshe Karen Kaparipari<\/strong> &#8211; @_k.kaparipari<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rauna Ndeilenga<\/strong> &#8211; @ndonamartin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thatiso Dube expressed enthusiasm about witnessing these talented young designers showcase their creations on the RTD runway, emphasizing GALXBOY&#8217;s commitment to nurturing the next generation of South African fashion creatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Rocking the Daisies, this collaboration is a celebration of festival fashion&#8217;s unique subculture and a platform for highlighting South African talent.
