Fashion Without Borders’ fifth installation is bringing 20 fashion designers and 40 models from across the continent to join the likes of South African designers like 11-year-old Ethan Mokhele, Kele Foko, Iman Mtshali, Aman Chamane and many others in Sandton in an effort to raise awareness about local fashion consumption. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s Africa\u2019s Fashion and lifestyle movement will\nbe hosted over a two-day period from Friday, 06 September 2019 to Saturday, 07\nSeptember 2019 at the Park Inn Hotel, in Sandton. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Themed My Africa\u2019 for this year’s Fashion Without\nBorders will feature a blend of new talent, emerging and established names.\nThese talents include the likes of 11-year-old fashion designer; Ethan Mokhele\n(South Africa), Kele Foko (South Africa), Nivaldo Thierry (Mozambique) and Kofi\nAsante (Ghana), Kaelo Godirwang (Botswana), Iman Mtshali (South Africa), Aline\n(DRC), Aman Chamane (South Africa), Anslem Agwoko (Nigeria), Sane Ratlhogo\n(South Africa), Tumane Thabane (Lesotho), Bismark Nimoh Poku (Ghana), Cathy\nMbemba (DRC), Maatla Matlhabe (Botswana), Izak JD and Claudine Uys (South\nAfrica).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serge Kabisoso, Creative Director and Show Producer said that Fashion Without Borders says they want to raise awareness with this campaign Themed My Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Part of our aim is to enable the 20 fashion designers and 40 Models to take centre stage and subsequently showcase their interpretation of fashion design in the African continent, in an effort to raise awareness about local fashion consumption,” <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“This event will highlight how current fashion trends are predicted by moods, behaviour and buying habits of a consumer at a particular time.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fashion Without Borders is more than just a fashion show,\nbut also a lifestyle event that includes pop-up stalls, industry-related\nworkshops and opportunities that will allow patrons to interact with both local\nand Southern African Development Community region designers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
