The show will delight audiences old and young as they celebrate the powerhouse singers that became legends through their music over the past few decades.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Be\u00a0transported on an unforgettable journey of pure nostalgia and heart-warming moments as homage is paid to a diverse selection of some of the greats, including\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury, Luther Vandross, George Michael, Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Prince, Amy Winehouse, Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole, John Lennon<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and more.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

South African artists will also be featured in the show, including <\/span><\/span>Brenda Fassie<\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span>Mandoza<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

While the show pays homage to these music icons who have left us too soon, the focus will be strongly on the uplifting atmosphere of inspiration that they continue to live on through their music, the memories they still evoke in all of us, as well as the impact that so many of them have made on the industry and world as a whole. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Executive Producer, Collett Dawson of The CoLab Network states<\/span><\/span>;<\/span><\/span> \u201cI wanted<\/span><\/span> Gone Too Soon to pay<\/span><\/span> loving tribute to <\/span><\/span>some incredibly talented musicians, who whilst they are not with us physically today, continue to be with us in the music they left behind. These artists have helped contribute to the DNA of the music we hear today. They have left a powerful musical legacy, uniting people from all age groups and races through their music. We all have so many memories linked to specific songs or artists <\/span><\/span>that have woven a tapestry <\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span>roughout our lives, so my<\/span><\/span> aim with this<\/span><\/span> concert is <\/span><\/span>for <\/span><\/span>the audience<\/span><\/span> to sit back and listen \u2013 or to get up and dance <\/span><\/span>\u2013 and celebrate the magic of this<\/span><\/span> music.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Three of South Africa\u2019s most talented vocalists,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Timothy Moloi<\/span><\/span> (<\/span><\/span>FIFA 2010 World Cup Opening Cerem<\/span><\/span>ony, <\/span><\/span>Always & Forever \u2013 A Tribute to Luther Vandross, <\/span><\/span>Great<\/span><\/span> South<\/span><\/span> African<\/span><\/span>Bake<\/span><\/span> Off<\/span><\/span> Celebrity<\/span><\/span> Festive<\/span><\/span> Special<\/span><\/span>, Classics is Groot<\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Joseph Clark<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(<\/span><\/span>Joseph Clark \u2013 The Music of Queen, <\/span><\/span>Classics is Groot, <\/span><\/span>Queen At The Opera, Buddy Holly \u2013 The Buddy Holly Story)<\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span>Mariechan<\/span><\/span> (of Jamali, and Popstars <\/span><\/span>fame)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0will set the stage alight as they perform the instantly recognisable hits.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

An exciting collaboration is the inclusion of the superb J<\/span><\/span>ohannesburg Youth Orchestra<\/span><\/span>\u00a0conducted by\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Eddie Clayton<\/span><\/span>, celebrating their 20th Anniversary, who join the vocalists on stage to evoke <\/span><\/span>over <\/span><\/span>2 hours of unforgettable memories.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is going to help both young and old share memories, create dialogue, strength family relationships, create platforms to discuss the life\u2019s ups and downs of these artists but most of all give us all reason to travel down memory <\/span><\/span>lane.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
